British Art Prize 2026

I have been selected for the British Art Prize for the first time.

Very happy to be exhibiting in the OXO tower gallery.

75 other artists have been selected from  thousands that entered the competion.

My Painting " We Live Here " is a large dipiction of housing in South London.

The title reffers to the a public infomation and history board near-by that told a familiar story in London's environs. Once owned by Sir Thomas Edgecombe the estate was acquired by the local council after the 2nd world war. Where there were fields of fruit trees and lavender there are now multiples of high rise housing. I liked these places at this time of the evening. The period between day and night. The sun dips below the horizon and the lights come on and what was an austere monolith becomes a show-case of warm lit personal spaces. 23-25 Oct 2026 The OXO gallery
